As part of Chamberlain Group, Merlin is one of the world's largest manufacturers of residential garage door openers and accessories with a commitment to providing a safe and convenient experience for families.
Tosco Communications was tasked with implementing a brand refresh across marketing collateral, packaging and brand assets to coincide with the launch of Merlin's new core lineup of garage door openers with improved safety features. Working under the Art Director, our primary challenge was to appeal to people who want a premium experience in upgrading the safety and functionality of their home.
The design direction was developed to help customers easily find the right product for their needs. The development of lifestyle images was the key component during this brand refresh in order to showcase how the Merlin products seamlessly integrated in a family home environment. The Merlin Green was strategically utilised as a supporting brand element behind the product and lifestyle images to reinforce the sense of safety and reliability a customer can expect with Merlin products.
The myQ app was launched as a convenient way to operate the Merlin garage door openers and accessories. myQ’s compatibility with Merlin’s sister brands such as Chamberlain, Grifco and Liftmaster meant a seamless integration was required across all multiple brands.
